Theater That Never Happened
One Hundred Years of Solitude

Visual concept draws on the original stage design for Tomaž Pandur’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Sven Jonke / Numen/For Use. The idea for the cube structure emerged from the dramaturgical process.

(in collaboration with Tomaž Pandur, 2016)

In 2016, I was invited by the late director Tomaž Pandur to write a stage adaptation of One Hundred Years of Solitude – a project that was to premiere in Guadalajara with the support of the García Márquez estate.

The production never happened. Pandur passed away unexpectedly during rehearsals for King Lear.

The adaptation was written.
The dream remains.

This project lives as a tribute to a collaboration that never reached the stage, but still beats quietly beneath the surface of everything that followed.
